Machining
United Engineering has a machine shop with the largest machine tools on Vancouver Island. Our most versatile machine is our open side CNC mill with vertical and side heads. It has a 7'x22' table, 25 ton capacity, thread milling, carbide drilling and cutters up to 12" in diameter.Other machine tools as follows:
- 118" Niles Vertical Boring Mill
- 4" Giddings & Lewis Horizontal Boring Mill
- Craven 64" swing X 40' centers plus bed extensions to 60'; two carriages
- Binns & Berry 30" x 20' centers lathe
- 4 foot radial arm drill press
- 200 ton press
- Numerous smaller size lathes, mills, saws, etc.
Over head crane capacity is 18 tons.
