News: Updated September 2011

Harjim September 2011 We are pleased to announce that Harjim has now moved into its "new" (formally Irwin Industies) shop in the United Engineering Building at 327 Harbour Road. There are still a few bugs to be worked out and we are still waiting for signage but Harjim is open for business. Having United, Harjim, and Island Plate all in the same complex will allow us to organize our availible resources more efficiently to serve our customers.

BobWe'd like to congratulate Bob Higgins on his retirement. We have all tried to absorb Bob's extensive machinery knowledge and replicate his calm thoughtful problem solving manner over the years. We all wish Bob the best.

Below are pictures of our current projects. The United shop is working on a BCFS trestle for Hornby Island. It is in two main parts. One is painted and in the parking lot where we are installing the deck grating and the other is completed in the fabrication shop waiting to be moved to the paint shed. Harjim has been working on two downtown Victoria seismic upgrades this summer: the CPR Steamship Terminal Building and Dogwood Building on Wharf Street.
